These days there really are only three steps to successful golf:
Firstly, take golf lessons and use the Driving Range, to upgrade the technical elements of your swing for consistent ball striking, distance and accuracy, in a low-pressure environment.
Whilst your friendly PGA is encouraging you to increase your swing efficiency and effectiveness, it’s vital to let your body learn the new feels, without being overly concerned about results. So you need to repeat the drills and shots many times in a row to ingrain the new technique.
Simulate on-course conditions using various clubs on the Trackman range. Practice your pre-shot routine and learn to deal with perceived consequences.
However, before ‘playing a course on the range’ with your new swing, use the Trackman to measure your club distances allowing you can plan where to land your shots to hit the perfect distance. You can even measure your pitching distances, to commit to those tricky half shots.
Warm up your pre-shot routine with one shot practice, aiming for the different markers, visualising and feeling the perfect shot before stepping in and pulling the trigger.
With a consistent, repeatable swing, all-round confidence in both technique and mental skills, it will be a much smaller step to ‘real’ success on the course.
Knowledge of your club yardages, refreshing your pre-shot routine and mindset, and being comfortable playing in pressure situations, are vital elements you’ll need to perform at your best on the fairways.
And you can do almost all of that at Windmill with the help of Trackman Range (and your PGA Professionals of course!)
And there’s more from Trackman and its incredible capabilities. Including:
Need help to set things up? Just ask our friendly team. And bring the 19th hole onto the range with a drink from the bar, that could even improve your rhythm too!
